Opening Hours: daily, 10 am - 5 pm, closed on Tuesdays

Dresden-Pass, Ehrenamtspass Dresden und Sachsen, IAA, IGBK, Archäologen-Verband, artcard, schlösserlandKARTE, Jugendleitercard ("Juleica"), Verband dt. Kunsthistoriker, Czech Railways (once)

The Royal Palace

The original location and focal point of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden is the former electoral and royal palace, the Residenzschloss, in the heart of the old city centre. This palace of museums, known affectionately as the "Louvre of Saxony", not only includes the State Apartments of August the Strong and the Porcelain Cabinet, but also the following museums and exhibitions: Historisches and Neues Grünes Gewölbe, Münzkabinett, Rüstkammer (consisting of the Turkish Chamber, Hall of the Giants, Royal Wardrobe, Concept and Encounter: Kunstkammer, On the Way to Electoral Power), and the Kupferstich-Kabinett.


Valid for one day in all the museums of the Residenzschloss, except for the Historisches Grünes Gewölbe.
